Default Solo: What Class?

'Aight, I've played through the game, ascended, infused, etc. with my N/W, which I later switched to a N/Me... the idea was to have a blood Necro that could solo a fair deal of the game because, well, as all the maggots in the crowd will agree on, People = S**t. So I used the highest DPS blood magick build I could come up with, stacked with some Mesmer degen... but really, the only thing I can solo are Hydras. So, does anyone have any reccomendations on a class I can use to Solo PvE portions of the game with? I'm at a loss right now. =/

I was going to make a 105/55 Monk, but I figured that strat would be hit with the Nerf Nuke pretty quick by ANet, and sure enough, the radiation has spread throughout multiple threads within the forum. Is the 105 Monk still a possibility, or did ANet completely destroy the solo-monk ideal? Is it plausible that I find alternate ways to solo with a 105 Monk by utilizing energy-gaining skills from other classes?

every class in the game can solo specific areas. The WaMo and invinci-monk builds have a little more versatility, but you can find an effective solo buid for every primary class.

and yes the 105/85/55 Solo Monk build is still possible

It is possible to solo with several builds, and though the nerf bat hit the Monk, a little study of the build and a little effort will still allow for it to have viable solo abilities in certain areas. There are many posibilities for energy management with the build from both the warrior line as well as Messner Inspiration line.
My guess is that the nerfing of skills has not completed, so it is always wise to study and learn whatever class you focus a build on, learn how skills work together, experiment, and find multiple ways to do the same thing. Most of the 105/55 monks that understood anything about the build have done that.

N/Mo or E/Mo or W/Mo | Mo/W all solo lots of things quite nicely. E/N too, I'm told, although I've not tried.

A minion master might be good, Blood and Death, create lots of minions as a well than hit them hard with blood magic. I have found bone horrors en masse can be fer usful in most areas, as meat sheild while you either run away or stand at the back and pound with spells

Issue with a minion master for soloing is that you need to kill stuff to get those minions up in the first place.

Monk is the solo king. Best healing options in the game, along with some powerful damage stuff. Also, double damage to undead can be nice.

For necro, try using Aura of the Lich combined with stuff like Physical resistence and the Necro armor that gives you extra armor at the price of holy damage. Combine with high soul reaping or inspiration/channeling for energy upkeep and some blood magics like life siphon to help heal you. Thats all I can think of, and good luck!
